Outside Sales Rep – Training | HVAC

CALL DAD • Full-time • Greenville, South Carolina, United States • $150,000 - $200,000 / year • 3d ago

Outside Sales / Comfort Advisor – No HVAC Experience Needed. We’ll Teach You.

Target earning opportunity: $150,000–$200,000+ annually based on individual performance and the applicable compensation plan.

You don't need 10 years of sales experience. You don't need to know the difference between a heat pump and a flux capacitor. (We'll teach you the HVAC part. )

What we do need is someone who is hungry to learn, comfortable talking to people, enjoys driving, willing to be coached, and resilient enough to understand that not every day in sales is going to be record setting.

At Call Dad, we're looking for the person first.

If you've got the attitude, we'll help you build the skill.

Through our Sales University, we'll teach you how to become a successful Call Dad Comfort Advisor, from understanding HVAC systems to asking better questions, presenting solutions, handling objections, and helping homeowners make confident decisions about their homes.

You Might Be Our Kind of Person If…

You hear “Let me show you a better way” and actually want to hear the better way.
You're competitive, but you're not a jerk about it.
You can have a rough day and still show up ready to go tomorrow.
You aren't afraid to talk to people you've never met.
You can take feedback without immediately preparing your courtroom defense.
You're curious and ask good questions.
You do what you say you're going to do.
You want to get really, really good at something.
You'd rather be rewarded for your performance than wait around for your annual 3% raise.
When something doesn't work, your first thought is “What can I do differently next time?”
You think $150K–$200K sounds less like a fantasy and more like a challenge.

If you're reading this thinking, “I don't have sales experience, but that sounds like me…”

Good. Keep reading.

What We'll Teach You

Our Sales University isn't about handing you a script and telling you to figure it out.

We'll train you. Coach you. Role-play with you. Give you feedback. Challenge you. Celebrate the wins. Help you learn from the losses. And then we'll do it all over again.

You'll learn how to:

Connect with homeowners and understand what actually matters to them
Identify comfort concerns and present appropriate solutions
Ask better questions and become a better listener
Build trust without sounding like a “salesperson”
Clearly explain options and value
Navigate objections and difficult conversations
Help customers make confident decisions
Understand HVAC systems, replacement options, and financing
Follow a proven sales process from the first hello through the final decision

We can teach HVAC. We can teach sales.

What we can't teach nearly as easily is attitude, effort, resilience, curiosity, and the willingness to be coached.

That's what we're hoping you bring with you.

What Happens After Sales University?

Earn your spot and you'll become a Call Dad Comfort Advisor, meeting with homeowners throughout the Carolinas and helping families make important decisions about the comfort of their homes.

You'll have:

Company-generated opportunities
Company vehicle and gas card
Continued sales coaching and development
A proven process to follow
A team that wants you to win
The opportunity to build a serious sales career and serious earning potential

And don't worry. We aren't sending you into someone's living room with a salmon shirt, a tablet, and a heartfelt “Good luck, buddy.”

We'll prepare you.

Let's Talk About the $150K–$200K+ Part

This is a performance-driven career.

Our highest-performing Comfort Advisors earn more than $200,000 annually.

But let's be clear: putting on a Call Dad shirt does not magically make $200K appear in your bank account.

It takes Consistency, Coachability, Practice, Follow-up, Resilience, and the willingness to keep improving, especially after the appointments that don't go your way.

Sales has great days.

Sales has frustrating days.

Sometimes you'll feel unstoppable. Sometimes you'll replay a conversation the entire drive home wondering what you could've done differently.

That's sales.

We're looking for someone who can handle both.

If you can learn from yesterday without letting yesterday ruin today, you'll probably fit in pretty well around here.

What You Must Have

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle with acceptable driving record
Strong communication and people skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on homeowner needs
Ability to travel throughout our markets in the Carolinas
Willingness to fully participate in training, coaching, role-play, and performance evaluations
A positive, solutions-focused attitude
Resilience when things don't go your way
Genuine desire to learn and improve

HVAC experience? Not required.

Sales experience? Great if you have it. Totally okay if you don't.

Coachability, drive, and a good attitude? Those aren't optional.

Who Should Apply?

Maybe you've worked in retail, hospitality, restaurants, customer service, athletics, recruiting, automotive, wireless sales, home services, or another job where you've learned how to connect with people. Maybe you've already sold professionally. Or maybe nobody has ever given you the chance.

We're less interested in whether you've already held the “right” title and more interested in what you'll do with the opportunity.

If you're motivated, competitive, good with people, eager to learn, and ready to be coached...
